“The speaker was Jon O’Donoghue of the National Trust in Cornwall. His talk was entitled ‘Learning to Garden’ and he took members through his experiences from a young lad in Herefordshire, his apprenticeship at Barrington Court in Somerset through to Glendurgan. Experiencing kitchen gardening through to flower gardens, culminating in his responsibilities for visitors at Glendurgan, Trelissick and Trerice (where we learn there may be some interesting archaeological finds relating to a far distant garden layout). Jon was very easy and interesting to listen to and members thoroughly enjoyed it.”
